Hello and Welcome!

Mother Daughter Duo

Sheryl & Charlie

We are a mother-daughter duo that has always had a desire for balance and harmony within the home. Sheryl grew up in a small town in Missouri and settled in Colorado after serving in the Air Force. She worked on accounting and finance software before Charlie graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2023. Throughout the years of travelling and moving from place to place, the accumulation of items within our home brought feelings of stress, instead of tranquility. We began decluttering our spaces and helped friends and family do the same over the past several years before realizing that we could support others outside of our immediate circle. We pride ourselves on focusing on our clients’ personal needs, completely free of judgment. We want our clients to feel safe sharing their most hidden spaces with us.

Common Questions

How does this all work?

During the initial consultation, we’ll discuss the space in need and what is and isn’t working. We will then estimate hours and send you a contract along with the tentative invoice, which could change later in the process with your knowledge. During our decluttering and organizing sessions, we’ll categorize all of your belongings into keep, donate, and discard. From there, the goal is now to organize the space to function in a way that honors your daily habits and routines. Payments are collected by cash, check, or square after every session. You can find more information about the sessions here.

Is it worth the money? Why should I pay for the services of a professional organizer rather than having my friends and/or family help?

Living in a cluttered or disorganized home is expensive. It can be overwhelming and affect your productivity. You spend valuable time searching for items, and it costs money to buy things you couldn’t find or thought you didn’t have because you didn’t have a specific place to find them. You may be paying additional fees or late charges on bills because the system you have set up is not working properly or efficiently. Hiring a professional organizer can help give you an fresh and objective perspective on your space and belongings that friends and family cannot always provide. These services are an investment to help you save time and money and prevent mental strain in the long run.

How long does it normally take to declutter/organize my space?

Here are a few examples of how long certain spaces can take (this can vary depending on amount of items to be sorted and size of space and how available you are for decision making).

  • Kitchen pantry: 5-6 hours
  • Linen closet: 2-3 hours
  • Master Closet: 3-5 hours
  • Small Bathroom: 1-2 hours
  • Play Spaces: 3-4 hours
  • Office (excluding filing): 3-5 hours
  • Basement, Large Storage or Garage: 2-3 full days (volume & square footage dependent)
Do I tidy up? What do I do before each session?

Please do not tidy your space before we come, especially for the in-person consultation. The excess piles help us understand the areas that work well and others that are not functional for your day-to-day life.

We only ask that any animals are out of the working spaces, including litter boxes.

How involved will I be in the process?

Your involvement in this process is helpful for developing organizational and decluttering habits, but we understand that not everyone has the flexibility to be present for the entire process. At a minimum, we will work with you for a few hours to understand what is necessary to keep and what you’re willing to part ways with.

Will you throw away my things?

Absolutely not! We respect your space and belongings. You always have the final say on whether something is donated or thrown away.

How will you respond if I want to keep a lot of belongings?

This is your home and your belongings; we will not criticize you for the decisions you make. Our goal is to help you create a space that relieves stress, rather than cause it. Each person has different things that are important to them, and it is not our place to judge that. If we sense that you’re keeping things for reasons other than that you love it or that it is useful, we may guide you through releasing those items.

Will I need to buy organizational products?

It is not necessary to buy new products or furniture. We will do our best to work with the items you already have on hand, but if you would like to purchase new containers, we can send links to our favorite products! The final call for purchasing these containers is completely up to you.

My entire home needs organizational help. Where should I start?

We suggest tackling the most visible and used area in your home first. When you realize how much of a difference an organized and functional area improves your daily efficiency and mental load, it adds momentum and motivation to do the same to other spaces in your home. This process involves a lot of time and effort, so if you start in an area that does not have as much influence in your everyday routines, you may not notice the gain on those investments. You’ll develop skills throughout the initial process to declutter and organize your spaces in a functional way for you and others sharing the space, so you sometimes won’t need to hire a professional organizer for every space that you think needs work.

Do you offer cleaning services?

During our sessions, we will sweep and tidy areas, but we will not deep clean, scrub, or mop. We are not cleaners. If there is an infestation of any kind, please contact professionals that are equipped with the proper training and materials.

Do you take away donations and trash?

We take away one car load of donations for a 3-hour session and two car loads of donations for a 5-hour session. We do not take trash away, but we can suggest trash removal services for items that will not fit in your trash bins.

Where do you bring donations?

For the smoothest drop-off process and acceptance of items, all donations are brought to the closest Goodwill Donation Center. You will receive a donation receipt for tax filing purposes as well!

Will the final result look Pinterest-worthy?

The visual appeal of your space is important, but it can be expensive and could actually decrease productivity depending on your organizational patterns. We try our best to organize your space to match your ideal aesthetic, but our main priority is to ensure the space we’re working on is functional and easy to maintain!
